There’s no question about it – babies are expensive! They’re also tiny and adorable, and since they don’t stay babies for long you may be thinking about springing for a professional photo shoot for your little one. Unfortunately professional photography can be pricey, but you can take amazing photos at home with these simple tips!
Start by finding the perfect location. Pay attention to the natural light coming in from windows at different times during the day, and choose a place that gets a lot of it. Once you have a place picked out, set up a scene with a clean backdrop and a comfortable place for your baby. Get creative, but make sure it’s not too busy.
You’ll probably want smiles or sleepy faces in the photos, not crying, so try to plan the shoot around your baby’s usual nap time. To avoid upsets, choose just a couple natural poses and don’t fuss too much. If your baby doesn’t want to cooperate, try another time.
Don’t be afraid to mess around with different angles and close-ups. It’s amazing how much of an impact a classic black and white photo of a baby’s tiny hand or foot can make.
