Sometimes kids are picky eaters. What parent hasn’t put on some kind of show in order to get their child to eat their vegetables? Whether it’s the good old airplane spoon or adorable puppets or funny noises, you all have your own methods. But how can you be sure what they’re eating is balanced and nutritious?
It’s not as difficult as you might think. Carrie Saum over at The Leaky Boob has an excellent commentary on the subject. Focusing on your baby’s overall health and diet is the way to go. Instead of constantly trying to balance each meal with the perfect amount of nutrition, look at the big picture. Take things a week at a time.
Some days your baby is going to be pickier than others, and that’s okay. Continually offer a variety of healthy food options and give your child the ability to choose between them (within reason).
