Diaper rash is a common and miserable issue with children. Each child seems to have different triggers and be affected in different ways. Some of the most common causes are excessive wetness, an allergy to the diaper itself, a change in diet, or a reaction to antibiotics. Recommended treatments include more frequent changing, wiping with a wet towel rather than wipes, and use of a zinc oxide cream. To prevent diaper rash, try to figure out the cause and do your best to avoid the trigger.
