A recent study by AVG Technologies reports that approximately one-third of children feel unimportant when their parents are on their smartphones during time together. The study included children ages 8-13 from all over the world, and 32% felt they had to compete for their parents’ attention. They also reporting feeling that their parents checked devices too often. It’s time to consciously work on striking a work/life balance and putting down the phones.
