Many people have their own idea of what it’s like to be a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM), but only people who have experienced it truly know. A day in the life of a SAHM is not all about completing your Pinterest projects, cooking elaborate meals, and teaching your child a second language in your “down time.” One mom weighs in on what it’s really like to be a SAHM—and she recommends you bring a lot of caffeine.
According to Laura (and I’m sure many other moms would agree), your best bet is to always have a plan. You need to plan your meals ahead so you aren’t running to the store at the last second with two kids in tow. Have a plan ready for a number of situations in case your initial plan doesn’t work out. It’s okay to have days where the only thing getting you through is the idea of a glass of wine when daddy gets home. Being a SAHM is a hard job, but the rewards are immeasurable.
