How much time do we spend reading books, blogs, etc about pregnancy, birth, and parenting? There seems to be an unlimited wealth of knowledge available to us, but is this always a good thing? People often say that knowledge is power, but is too much knowledge the source of excessive worry?

Sometimes, people develop very specific pictures of how pregnancy or breastfeeding must be, and they worry if their own experiences aren’t identical. Are we better off letting our instincts guide us and basing decisions on our observations and experiences? Parenting is just as much of a growth experience for the parent as it is for the child.
