We’re all familiar with mommy exhaustion—the feeling you get when you have too much to do and not enough time to do it. Your days are filled with feeding, cleaning, and running around, and your nights are a string of interrupted sleep. On top of all this, you don’t get to take any time for yourself. After awhile, this level of exhaustion goes deeper and leads to burnout. One mom discusses how she took care of herself to get her energy back.
Whether you’re not getting enough nutrients because you’re eating for convenience or simply burning through them because of nursing, you likely don’t have enough of the good stuff. Vitamin deficiency can cause a number of symptoms including fatigue and muscle weakness. Lack of sleep and too much exertion can exacerbate this problem, causing you to try to draw from energy reserves that aren’t there. Take some time to reboot, take care of yourself, and gradually build yourself back up.
