If you work full time, you may feel as though you don’t have much time to spend with your child. Mrs. Garland from HelloBee is a teacher and had a difficult time adjusting to only seeing her son for a few hours every day after spending the entire summer with him. In her most recent post, she shares 6 ways to maximize quality time when hours together are shorter.
Chores and cooking can take up a significant amount of time at home, so try involving your child in some way. Have routines and traditions planned and stick to the schedule. Write a few fun activities into your schedule throughout the week so you have that time blocked off. Go on walks as a family in the evenings before or after dinner, even for a short time. If possible, do as much meal prep as possible over the weekend so you have time on weeknights to spend with family. Finally, do your best to avoid screen time until your kids are in bed.
