Given how much stuff they mess up, it’s always refreshing to see Congress actually do something right.
Legislators have introduced a new bill into debate that would make Washington DC the first city in the country to provide 16-weeks of paid family time, to allow for the birth or adoption of a child, recuperation from military deployment, or care for a sick/injured family member. The bill seeks to allow employees who earn less than $52,000 to be paid, in full, during the 16 weeks of leave.
