I do not care for the Elf on the Shelf craze. Seriously, it’s like asking for a spooky ghost story to erupt at all times. And I’m not the only one who’s been messed up by these things.
The rules that come with these things (THAT’S STRAIGHT UP THE PLOT OF GREMLINS) say that you can’t touch or move the elf, or they’ll lose their magic. So when seven year old Isabella LaPertua from New Jersey was playing with a ball and it ended up knocking the elf out of his seat.
Thinking she destroyed the magic of Christmas, she immediately called 911, and because this keeps getting worse, she realized her mistake and tired to convince them not to come to her house. But, since it’s the law to do so, a squad car arrived at her house. Her mother woke up to her daughter hysterically crying, terrified that she was going to be in trouble.
