Toddlers are notorious for stalling during bedtime. They will come up with a million and one excuses to not have to go to sleep. The personal favorite seems to be having to go to the bathroom half a dozen times at night. So, what is a simple solution to stopping your toddler from being up all night? Just take yourself out of the equation. Teach them to go to the bathroom independently and let them know that you expect that of them at night too. Once they understand they won’t get extra attention, they should get bored and stop.
