The author, a special ed teacher, has a uniquely special son if his own. He watched his son go through the normal infant development until his son began regressing. Countless doctors appointments, diagnoses and frustrations ensued. His son will need physical and speech therapy and braces for walking. He was first saddened but has taken a new perspective. There is good with the bad, and just love his son. The author feels bad for people who look at his son with pity calling him disabled because they have lost the ability to see beauty and love when it’s right in front of them,
