Screen time can be bad for both kids and parents. Screen can cause parents to drive dangerously, waste time, and hurt both sleep patterns and memory. While technology can also be helpful it can be addictive. To help everyone spend less time on their phones, a few simple rules can help.No phones while the family is together whether eating or enjoying each others company is a good start. Phones can even be locked up during these times. Notifications can be turned off completely and email and other things can be checked during specific times, these specific times could be the only times set aside to spend time on the phone or device. Accountability to another person or airplane mode are other ways to keep yourself from overusing the phone. Smaller devices or even changing to black and white screens could help.
