The article is question whether the Western World puts too much pressure on mothers to be when it comes to pre-baby celebrations. Most other countries in the world tend to celebrate the babies birth after the arrival of the new baby, rather than before. Celebrating after birth isn’t the only difference, though, as most other countries tend to focus on family oriented celebrations enriched with tradition and often religion. Western women; however, feel that they have to live up to expectations of “pinterest worthy” baby showers with lavish decorations and extensive planning.
