Being the mom of littles is hard. Having tiny people be so dependant on you for every bite of food, trip to the potty, scrub in the shower and beyond is a bit exhausting, and can sometimes leave us yearning for the days our children become more independent. Or at least it did- until we saw this commercial.
The good folks at Hallmark apparently do more than just produce our favorite cheesy holiday movies; they’re also absolute masters in the waterworks department. The concept of this moving commercial about motherhood isn’t anything new, but the execution of this video hit us right in the heart, and we think it might do the same for you.

Are you quietly whispering “I needed that,” while wiping away your unexpected tears? Us too, mama. The truth is, we all need this reminder every so often. After all, it’s much too easy to daydream about the seemingly less difficult days to come and miss out on the beauty of living in the moment.
So here’s to the hard days. I know they can often feel like they’ll never end, but the truth is that these days are fleeting. These same babies that drive us crazy, keep us up at night, and need us for every little thing they do are growing up; and they’re not going to be babies for much longer.
So thank you, Hallmark, for gifting us with this very important reminder. Motherhood is a journey and each day an adventure. So don’t forget to slow down and enjoy the scenery, no matter what season of life you might be in.
