Blogger Melissa Willet recently read a post on Scary Mommy suggesting that parents are afraid to take their kids to restaurants for fear of offending other customers, and she doesn’t agree. Why should parents feel like they’re being shamed for having a family meal in public? Willet asserts that parents aren’t trying to detract from anyone else’s dining experience by bringing their kids to a restaurant. Parents do everything they can to ensure good behavior and shouldn’t be made to feel unwelcome for nothing more than procreating.
