Food Pressure and the Effects on Kids’ Eating Habits

Two major factors that drive kids’ eating habits and weight are the weight of the primary caregiver and the “pressures” of limiting intake or pushing kids to eat more. A recent study published in Pediatrics showed that overweight parents of overweight children are more likely to limit food intake, while parents are more likely to push for increased intake if parents and child are both normal weight.
