For fourteen years, the NICU Family Support Program has been providing families in need the support needed when your child is in the neonatal intensive care unit. The section of the hospital that deals with children born too small or too soon, the NICU provides intensive care for babies all across the United States.
Developed by the March of Dimes, a pretty amazing program – the NICU Family Support program is designed to help support the parents of children currently stuck in the NICU and provide information, help, and whatever they need. Every year, the program manages to make a difference in the lives of over 90,000 families, which is 90,000 more children being given the chance at life, while also linking people who have gone through similar crisis together.
It’s an amazing program, and good on every single person involved.
