If your kid did something heroic for a classmate, I’m sure we’d all be proud. It’s an inspiring moment, to realize that the child, that you raised and help bring up in this world, turned out to be amazing? That must be an amazing feeling. And I’m sure it must be somewhat conflicting when they get in trouble for it.
Anthony Ruelas was at his Texas school when his classmate starting seizing up, wheezing and gasping for air, for three minutes straight.
The report from the teacher reads, “During 5th period another student complained that she couldn’t breathe and was having an asthma attack. As I waited for a response from the nurse the student fell out of her chair to the floor. Anthony proceeded to go over and pick her up, saying ‘f*** that we ain’t got time to wait for no email from the nurse.’ He walks out of class and carries the other student to the nurse.”
Anthony was then suspended for his troubles, because Texas is just the worst. And credit where credit is due – Anthony did a truly good thing.
