This group of mothers to be decided to try and help out their fellow man, in maybe the most adorable way possible.
Unborn Artists is a Belgium based charity group that, in an attempt to draw attention to the high infant mortality rate in many African countries, decided to take part in an amazing art project. These mothers proceeded to tape paintbrushes to their bellies, and covering them in paint. Then, they waited, until their babies came to life.
Through their little movements and kicks inside their mothers, these internal babies go to work, creating their very first piece of abstract art. This art was then auctioned off for charity, with all the proceeds going to medical care for pregnant women in developing nations.
It’s a beautiful idea, just on it’s own. Imagine keeping that painting yourself and hanging it on the walls of the nursery. I’m actually kind of jealous I didn’t think of it for my children. But then to use that to help other people?
It’s wonderful, and I hope there’s another auction of its kind soon.
