As we go through ever increasing temperatures and approach the hots of summer, we have to make sure we’re being mindful of the dangers these heats can bring to children, especially if the parents are elsewhere. It’s stories like this worry me for children… but do fill me with hope for humanity.
A mother in Tallahassee, Florida left her baby in the car with the window cracked while she went off to do something. As the baby boy cried and screamed, random passerby Rudy Ferguson Jr. made sure to come to the aid of the infant.
He stayed with the little boy, trying to soothe and relax him through the crack in the window while waiting for the mother to return… and yet she never did.
Eventually, Rudy started screaming at the apartment building, hoping to catch the attention of someone, anyone, who could help. Luckily, the mother happened to be in the apartment building at the time (really?!), came down, and took her still crying son into the building.
Props to Raymond, all day long. He did an amazing job by trying to help.
