About 20% of mothers regret the name they chose for their baby. Some of the reasons mothers have regret are because the name is too commonly used. They also felt that sometimes the name just didn’t fit the child, or they (the mother) just didn’t like the name at all and were pressured into choosing it. Other reasons include the name not being distinctive or the perception of the name had changed.
