Children follow mommy around because she is interested in what she is doing, Cleaning, included. Kids learn by watching, but mostly by hands on. If you wish to raise an independent child that can one day handle daily living as well as work routine, then allow them to tag along. Give them things like you have (in a safe form) of course and let them clean with you. They will learn, enjoy, and feel happy that they are a part of your everyday house. It won’t be a perfect job, but it is called training–hence training requires showing and showing develops into doing on one’s own later.
