For most moms, breastfeeding one hungry baby is challenging. There might be latch issues, supply problems, too much nursing, not enough nursing, and nursing all hours of the night. Add a second baby to the mix and you double the fun and frustration, but triplets are hard to imagine!
That’s reality for Brittany Yankowski, who has been breastfeeding triplets for almost eight months. Some of the most difficult things have been spending enough time with each of her children. With three babies, a two year old, and a four year old, there just aren’t enough hours in the day!
Some doctors told her that it wasn’t possible to breastfeed three babies, but she proved them wrong. At one point she got mastitis and her supply dropped to the point where she needed to supplement with donor milk, but with extra effort she recovered and continued her nursing efforts!
