Make sure all your bases are covered with these safety tips for the summer. Babies have very sensitive skin—their skin is even sensitive to sunscreen. Cover babies’ skin with clothing, hats, and umbrellas as much as possible. Keep your baby within arm’s reach at the pool and be sure any floatation devices are safe. Tuck pant legs into socks to prevent ticks from attaching. If a bee sting occurs, immediately remove the stinger and watch for signs of an allergic reaction. Finally, use bug spray with a low DEET concentration.
