Giving Birth, and Why You Can’t Sleep Afterwards

Recently, FitBit has allowed people to look into the sleeping habits of new mothers, and the findings might explain why you’re allowed to be a little cranky.

Sara McGinnis with babycenter did an experiment with her sister-in-law, who’s still recovering from childbirth. And what did she and FitBit find? That she was only able to sleep for small increments of time all night, thanks to stress, exhaustion, and life in general.

So, if you know someone (or are someone) who has recently given birth, give them a cookie. They’re owed it.
