Becky Vieira moved with her husband for his work, away from her friends. And she found herself alone in a way she never expected.
At first, it seemed like a simple enough change, but when she became pregnant, the situation changed. Because she was new to the area and her friends were so far away, working from home… besides her husband (who responded wonderfully).
It certainly wasn’t an easy experience, as she shared with babycenter Blog. She explains that, “My pregnancy has been difficult. For the first trimester I was stuck at home for medical reasons. I spent my days counting the hours until my husband returned from work because I was desperate for human interaction. I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t even go downstairs to do laundry. I was sick, I was depressed, and I was lonely. I would have given anything for one of my friends to come over and just sit and watch television with me…”
She’s pulling through, and heading into the second half of her pregnancy – but this experience has really shown her the importance of friends.
